Once and for all the rumors and speculations about MKJ can now be put to rest.  Mykal Kumasi Jones finally released his long awaited album of original music, 10 years after the debut of his first solo album called "Stay Alive."

The new album is a fine compilation of reggae styles and songs relating to the every day struggles of the poor and weak, politics, the environment, peace and love.  The musical arrangement and accompaniment on the album demonstrates the experience, tenacity and resilience of Mykal Kumasi Jones (AKA The Doc).

Wadadli Music is soulful, spontaneous, enchanting and totally liberated. It's a combination of melodic baselines, unorthodox drum licks, big band brass, provocative guitar and keyboard rifts playing at unpredictable intervals.  Mykal skillfully combined these elements in a high-tec fabric of digital signals to create and define the sound of Wadadli music.
